Invesco Funds Group announced the promotion of its national sales manager, Ray Cunningham, to president and chief operating officer yesterday. Cunningham will be responsible for future growth strategies, in addition to holding his previous responsibilities as national sales manager.

"I look forward to working with Ray as he plays a key role in managing our growth and helping us reach our goal of becoming the most valued investment management partner to our investment advisors and clients," said Mark Williamson, chairman and chief executive officer of Invesco Funds Group and chief executive officer of Amvescap's Managed Products Division.

Cunningham joined the Denver-based fund firm in 1999, with expectations of expanding the sales force effort and improving relationships with financial advisors in all distribution channels. Previously, he was a senior vice president with GT Global, and has held sales positions with American Capital and Massachusetts Financial Services. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. in Business.

Invesco Funds Group has approximately $37 billion in assets under management.
