T. Rowe Price has cut the ribbon on its eighth Investor Center in Walnut
Creek, California. The company is following up with another Investor Center in Short Hills, NJ in the first quarter of next year and plans additional outlets in Tysons Corner, VA, and a suburb near Chicago.
"It is a sales oriented, rather than transaction-based center
where we can have face-to-face contact with clients," said
Dean Pippio,
client relationship manager at the new facility.
By operating in suburban environments and emphasizing education through center-based and outside functions, the company seeks to focus on sales, rather than simply
providing outlets to conduct transactions.

James S. Riepe adds, "The new Walnut Creek center reflects our ongoing commitment to improve and expand our methods of reaching our investors and
to help people manage their investments in a way that's most convenient and
comfortable to them."
