Following closely on the news that
AIM's co-founder and chairman will be retiring at the end of the year, the Houston- based firm announced that
Jack Caldwell, the president of its distribution arm,
AIM Fund Services (AFS), will retire from the mutual fund industry on June 30, 2000. Senior operations officer
Tony Green will take over Caldwell's position as director of AIM's fund services operations and president of AFS.
Apps.com, a new Internet service, has compiled several impressive lists of financial service providers, business and personal finance Web sites. The company, founded in October 1999 and based in Cambridge, MA, promotes the 5000 applications listed as the "verbs" of the Internet, the sites that help get things done, as opposed to the "nouns," the typical Web portals that focus more on the textual, visual, and audio content.
The
Enterprise Group of Funds is celebrating Ron Canakaris' 20th year as portfolio manager of the
Enterprise Growth Fund. Canakaris is president and CEO of Atlanta- based
Montag & Caldwell, which has $30 billion under management and serves as sub-advisor to both the Enterprise Growth and
Enterprise Balanced funds. Enterprise Growth has returned 18.30% annually during Canakaris' tenure, after load.
