With Net-Trust, trust customers, portfolio managers and trust officers can access and analyze account data via the Internet.

"Net-Trust is designed to be a tool to increase portfolio managers' and other professionals' productivity. We are trying to make the system more efficient. Portfolio managers, trust officers, those in administration can access all the data that is available in the system. They also can drill down to payment frequency, the name of the broker, and the commissions earned," Mike Blake, product manager at Business Logic, told the MutualFundWire.com.

Net-Trust is designed to support the needs of individual as well as institutional clients. Blake reported that the system could be customized according to the needs of the individual accessing the system.

Business Logic also reports that Net-Trust is designed with open architecture so that it can easily integrate with other Business Logic platforms as well as other recordkeeping systems from other firms.

The firm states that the system has the following reporting capabilities:

    asset allocation
    holdings
    transactions
    tax-lot reporting
    pending transactions
    cash management and forecasting
    and performance analysis

Business Logic is currently beta testing the system with Mercantile-Safe Trust Company of Baltimore, Maryland.

"With Net-Trust, we are taking non-dynamic data and actually making it organic to manipulate and analyze it. This service is an incredible step forward for the financial services industry," Tom Small, director/vice president of technology at Mercantile, told the MutualFundWire.com.

"This is the product that we believe that will provide the most complete information so that we can make better decisions for our clients," he continued. "The power of the Web allows us to integrate data onto a single browser format. You have individuals at firms like ours who can now make better decisions for our clients. To provide enhanced services to our customers. Net-Trust allows us to do just that."
