Springfield, Massachusetts-based
MassMutual Retirement Services has added four new investment options to its 401(k) offering. Further, three new firms have joined its manager alliance, including
JP Morgan,
Morgan Stanley, and
Waddell & Reed.
The new options are:
- Growth Equity Fund -- Sub-advised by MFS Investment Management, this fund invests in companies with over $5 billion market capitalization.
- Mid Cap Growth Fund -- Sub-advised by Miller Anderson & Sherrerd, a unit of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Investment Management, this fund invests in companies with market caps between $1 billion and $5 billion.
- Small Cap Growth Fund -- Co-sub-advised by JP Morgan and Waddell & Reed, this fund invests in companies with market caps between $100 million and $1 billion.
- and Diversified Bond Fund -- Managed by MassMutual, this fund invests in intermediary duration, lower quality, higher yielding bonds.

This move brings the number of alliance partners to 12. Alliance members include:
American Century,
Barclays Global Fund Advisors,
Fidelity Investments, MFS Investment Management,
T. Rowe Price, and
OpCap Advisors. Also involved are MassMatual and its subsidiaries
David L. Babson and Co. and
OppenheimerFunds.
