Jeff Strauss, former founding partner of Marsico Capital Management, has joined RS Investment Management, formerly Robertson Stephens Investment Management, as a partner and senior analyst.

Strauss will be responsible for aiding the RSIM Growth Equities Group and will focus predominantly on selecting stocks for the RS Emerging Growth, Diversified Growth and MicroCap Growth Funds.

"Jeff will bring a wealth of experience in the fundamental research of small-cap growth stocks. His hiring will allow us to fulfill our goal of becoming one of the preeminent small-cap investment managers in the U.S," said Jim Callinan, chief investment officer of the Growth Equities Group and portfolio manager of the RS Emerging Growth Fund.
