Newly freed
Hotchkiss & Wiley has tapped a new national sales manager to build distribution through financial intermediaries. The Los Angeles-based firm was recreated when key managers led a management buyout from Merrill Lynch. The firm had been part of
Merrill Lynch since 1996.
As a part of the effort Hotchkiss & Wiley will be putting together a small wholesaling team under
Bob Dochterman, national sales manager, to work with intermediaries. The firm is also rebranding its funds from "Mercury HW" to "Hotchkis and Wiley".
Like the other senior executives, Dochterman arrives at the firm from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. He had been director and Western Division sales manager for Merrill's Mercury Funds.
"We are delighted that Bob has joined us," said
George Davis, chief executive officer of Hotchkis and Wiley in a statement. "Bob is an experienced, knowledgeable and talented investment management marketing professional. Along with a proven ability to build successful marketing teams from scratch, Bob brings with him dozens of valuable relationships and an outstanding reputation."
