SEI Investments, administrator and distributor of mutual funds, has appointed
Ross Ellis to the newly created position of director of product development and distribution, Global Fund Services.
In his new position, Ross will be assisting SEI clients develop offshore distribution strategies, emphasizing products and services. He was formerly vice president and manager of offshore marketing for
Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management. The position at Nicholas-Applegate was eliminated.
Ellis will be reporting to
Steven Meyer, senior vice president and managing director of Global Fund Services.
"Much of what we're doing domestically with web-based business solutions can be applied to offshore markets, and we certainly want to leverage those opportunities. But we also recognize that offshore markets have unique needs -- distribution in Europe is very different than the Far East and very different again than South America," said
Richard Lieb, president of SEI's Investment Systems and Services group.
