Scudder Kemper Retirement Services has named Ed Fisher to the post of vice president for alternative markets. He will be assigned to the firm's Chicago, Illinois office.

Prior to this move, Fisher served as vice president and retirement plan consultant with Van Kampen Funds.

Fisher will be charged with marketing Kemper Funds to third party administrators, consultants, trust departments, mutual fund companies, and brokers and dealers, especially those who sell multi-market platforms to retirement plans. The targeted plans have between $1 and $50 million in assets.

"Ed is a valuable addition to the Kemper Retirement Plans Group and will be instrumental in generating increased activity and awareness of Kemper Funds among recordkeepers and other mutli-manager retirement plan platforms. With Ed's strong background in marketing various asset management services to retirement plans, he brings thorough knowledge of the retirement plan business," said Gene Huxhold, senior vice president of Scudder Kemper Investments and national sales manager for the Kemper Retirement Plans Group.
