HSBC Asset Management Has New Americas Chief

HSBC Asset Management has named John Myers chief executive officer for the Americas. He joined the company earlier this month from Transamerica Life Companies, where, as senior vice president, he directed all new business development activities for bank and broker/dealer channels. Prior to that, Meyers held the position of president and chief executive officer at BA Investment Services, a subsidiary of Bank of America.

  • "John brings with him significant experience that will prove instrumental in the development of the retail and private client business in the US, which is the primary focus of HSBC Asset Management's overall strategic objective to become a leading provider of wealth management services," said Paul Guidone, group chief executive officer, HSBC Asset Management. "In addition he will work closely with HSBC Bank USA to leverage their commercial, corporate and institutional customer base with the aim of ensuring that their fund management needs are fully met."
