Montgomery Funds, and
Vanguard took home the honors at the recent
STAR AWARDS Dinner held at the Palmer House Hilton Wednesday evening in Chicago. The STAR Awards are given by the Mutual Fund Education Alliance (MFEA) to reward excellence in shareholder communications by fund companies.
Ariel Mutual Funds (Chicago) won the award in the small company level which includes firms with up to $3 billion in assets under management. The Montgomery Funds (San Francisco) won for the medium company level for funds complexes with $3 billion to $20 billion in assets and Vanguard won for the large company level.
Westcore Funds, Montgomery and Vanguard were the respective winners for best fund sites (
