Barely has the ink dried on Affiliated Managers Group's deal to buy UK-based Artemis and AMG is at it again. Boston-based AMG, which owns Third Avenue Management, Tweedy Browne and AQR, is buying Pantheon Ventures, a Russell Investments subsidiary for $775 million in cash.

Pantheon is a private equity fund-of-funds manager with offices in London, San Francisco, New York and Hong Kong.
