Invesco PowerShares is preparing to unveil a handful of small-cap, sector-based ETFs,
filing with the SEC on January 14 to register ten new funds.
The net expense ratios for the ETFs have yet to be determined.
The PowerShares Exchange-Traded Trust II includes ten small-cap ETFs that cover various sectors including utilities, telecommunication services, materials, information technology, industrials, health care, financials, energy, consumer staples, and a consumer discretionary portfolio.
The funds are designed to track the performances of the S&P SmallCap 600 Index, which follows U.S.-based companies across ten sectors that have shown four consecutive quarters of positive earnings and have at least 50 percent of the company's stock held by public investors.
Invesco PowerShares Capital Management LLC is the adviser to the funds. Each ETF will be managed by a team of portfolio managers, all of whom are overseen by Peter Hubbard, vice president of portfolio management of the adviser.
