Aston Asset Management just promoted
Joe Hays to the newly created position of national sales manager. Hays, who began his new job January 1, was previously a managing director for Aston, in charge of mutual funds and managed account sales in the Northeast region of the United States. He will continue to manage the region, as well as lead the company's external sales team.
“Aston is distinct in serving investor goals through our selection of institutional quality, independent investment managers. This commitment results in style consistency and a focus on the essentials of portfolio management,” Hays stated. “I look forward to continuing to work with the entire Aston team on delivering our exceptional investment products.”
In December, Aston's parent company,
Highbury Financial, unveiled a deal to sell itself to
Affiliated Managers Group for $117 million. Aston is the advisor for twenty-five mutual funds, and manages approximately $6.5 billion assets, as of December 31, 2009.
