There's a recent addition to the number of
Evergreen Investments
alums within
Fidelity Institutional Investment Services (FIIS).
Karen McColl joined FIIS -- the unit that distributes mutual funds
and 401(k)s through advisors -- as senior vice president of investment
producdt management in November. She reports to
Scott Couto, executive vice president of investment product management and fellow Evergreen Investments alum. As previously reported by
The MFWire, Couto joined Fidelity
in August.
The whole of FIIS is run by ex-Evergreen executive
Peter Cieszko, who joined
Fidelity in January.
McColl's post is new, Fidelity spokesman Adam Banker told
The MFWire.
Prior to joining Fidelity, McColl held the same role at Evergreen
Investments, which became part of Wells Fargo when the bank acquired
Evergreen's parent, Wachovia Corp., at the end of 2008. McColl left
Evergreen two months ago after four-and-a-half years with the asset
manager.
It was not immediately clear how her old duties are being handled.
Evergreen spokeswoman Laura Fay declined to comment on personnel
matters.
Earlier, McColl worked at Columbia Management and Wellington Management.
