Peter Smail, who built
Fidelity's bundled 401(k) business with Bob Reynolds and later ran
Pyramis Global Advisors, has joined the board of trustees of
the Natixis Funds, Loomis Sayles Funds and Hansberger
International Series. Smail and
Erik Sirri, a former director of the SEC's division of trading and markets, joined the board on December 1.
Smail left Fidelity in June 2008 after 20 years at the Boston Behemoth. His roles included serving as president of Fidelity Institutional Retirement
Services and president of the total benefits outsourcing business. In 2005, he was tapped to launch and lead Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity subsidiary serving institutional investors.
Sirri, currently a finance professor at Babson College, served as director of the SEC's division of trading and markets from 2006 to 2009.
Smail and Sirri join nine others on the board.
