Peter Jones President, Franklin Templeton Distributors

Peter Jones joined Templeton 20 years ago as its first ever retail wholesaler and moved up to become the top executive at Franklin Templeton Distributors, a post he's held for almost 10 years. For the second time in Franklin's history, quarterly net new flows surpassed $12 billion during the three months ended September 30.

Franklin is currently in the midst of an effort to ramp up sales of its equity offerings. It recently kicked off a U.S. sales and marketing campaign geared toward more than 130,000 advisors that sell its wares with a particular focus on 20,000 advisors that sell just fixed-income products.

Before he joined Templeton, Jones was spent four years as president of IDEX Distributors. He previously worked as a tax manager at Price Waterhouse.
