Which Morgan Stanley PMs are Invesco-Bound?

Morgan Stanley has already divided up its portfolio managers between Invesco and Morgan Stanley Investment Management. Morgan Stanley just revealed that 17 MSIM portfolio management teams will join Invesco when the deal closes in mid-2010, while 14 will stay with MSIM.

On Monday, Invesco unveiled a $1.5 billion to buy Morgan Stanley's retail asset management business, including Van Kampen. Those MSIM PM teams joining Invesco include:
  • convertibles, led by Ellen Gold;
  • equity income, led by Thomas Bastian;
  • equity products under development, led by Bob Baker and Jim Gilligan;
  • global dividend yield, led by Nathalie Degans;
  • global growth, led by Edward Ramos;
  • high yield, led by Dennis Schaney;
  • international growth, led by Hans Van den Berg;
  • Japan equity, led by Tadao Minaguchi, Kunihiko Sugio and Hiraoki Yamazaki;
  • mid cap value, led by Thomas Copper;
  • multi cap value, led by Kevin Holt and Jason Leder;
  • municipals, led by Bill Black, Mark Paris and James Phillips;
  • quantitative and structured solutions, led by Michael Nolan and Justin Simpson;
  • senior loans, led by Jinny Kim, Dennis Schaney and Philip Yarrow;
  • small cap growth, led by Matthew Hart;
  • small cap value, led by Richard Glass;
  • systematic strategies, led by Hooman Yaghoobi;
  • and US active equity, led by Gregory Lai.

    A number of PM teams will instead stay with MSIM. They include:
  • active international allocation, led by Ann Thivierge;
  • asset allocation, led by Henry McVey;
  • core/core plus, led by David Armstrong and Sanjay Verma;
  • domestic asset allocation, led by Mark Bavoso and Henry McVey;
  • EAFE value/global brands, led by William Lock and Peter Wright;
  • emerging market debt, led by Abigail McKenna;
  • emerging markets, led by Ruchir Sharma;
  • European equity, led by Matthew Leeman;
  • global & euro credit, led by Richard Ford, Michael Kushma and Christian Roth;
  • global tactical asset allocation, led by Fran Bovich and Henry McVey;
  • growth, led by Dennis Lynch;
  • international small cap, led by Maggie Naylor;
  • liquidity, led by Michael Cha, Jonas Kolk and Katherine Stromberg;
  • and real estate, led by Ted Bigman
