The Roosevelt Investment Group

The Rothschilds, not to mention the Roosevelts, are no strangers to the Sheers,
who run the Madison Avenue-based money manager. Adam Sheer serves as president
and his brother David is the chief financial officer. The firm's CEO is their father
Arthur, a Keystone Custodian Funds and Fidelity alum who managed money for the Rothschilds in the '80s before starting his own firm in 1990. In 2002, Sheer Asset Management acquired Roosevelt Investment Group
-- founded by Theodore Roosevelt's cousin, J. James Roosevelt, in 1971 -- and adopted the Roosevelt name. (Teddy's photos adorn the firm's Web site.)
The company continues to manage assets of the Theodore Roosevelt Association
and several members of the Roosevelt clan, in addition
to pension funds, endowment funds and closely held corporations.
On the '40 Act side, Roosevelt Investment Group runs the no-load Roosevelt Multi-Cap Fund. E*Trade Securities,
Ferris Baker Watts, Hilliard & Lyons, LPL Financial, NFP Securities, Pershing, Schwab
and Scottrade are among those who carry the fund.
