Index topping returns are bringing the spotlight to Franklin Templeton portfolio manager Philippe Brugere-Trelat.
Barrons reports that the French stock picker is topping the European indices over the course of his second stint with Franklin (he previously worked for the Mutual Series from 1984 to 1994).
Brugere-Trelat now is the portfolio manager of the $1.7 billion Mutual European Fund. His portfolio's current theme is the expectation of "a more-robust-than-expected recovery of the European economies and equities markets," reports the paper.
"Also looking to 2010, prospects for broad economic growth in the region are rising," says Brugere-Trelat.
