Since his arrival at One Post Office Square last summer after a long stint
at 82 Devonshire Street,
Putnam Investments' Bob Reynolds has tallied
media appearances few fund CEOs can match. Reynolds has hosted
at least two conference calls attended by scores of journalists,
appeared on CNBC,
discussed mark-to-market on Fox Business, was featured in
Research Magazine, landed on the cover of
Institutional Investor, and granted one-on-one interviews with many other media outlets such as
The Wall Street Journal and trade publications including
The MFWire and its sister pub,
The 401kWire.

In his
latest media interview, conducted by
Bloomberg's Sree Vidya Bhaktavatsalam and Christopher Condon on Wednesday, Reynolds tells of
his desire to bring Putnam to the top of the mutual fund heap.
"In the mutual fund space, we would like to be one of the top five players, no question about it,” Reynolds said.
Reynolds said is open to hiring, or lifting out, investment teams from other companies. He is less interested in making an acquisition.
