Ross Kerber, who for years has covered
Fidelity and other fund shops
located in the mutual fund industry epicenter of Boston, is leaving
The Boston Globe
to join
Reuters. Kerber will be covering mutual funds for the wire service,
The Boston
Herald's Jessica Heslam
reported last week.
Heslam reported that The Globe needed 50 newsroom staffers to take buyouts
by March 20 but only 24 have enlisted:
Heavyweight business reporters Jeffrey Krasner, who covers health care, and Ross Kerber, who covers financial services, are among those taking a buyout.
Kerber has been a business reporter for The Boston Globe since 1998. He previously
worked for
The Wall Street Journal,
The Los Angeles Times,
The Philadelphia Inquirer and
The San Bernardino County Sun.
