Pioneer Fills a Year-Old Opening with an Ex-Evergreen Exec

Reported by Armie Margaret Lee

Pioneer Investments has found a new leader for its relationship management and strategic alliances group in the U.S. The new hire is Bill Taylor, who started at Pioneer Monday last week and reports to Joseph Kringdon, head of U.S. retail distribution and president of Pioneer Funds Distributor.

Taylor's post had been vacant for a year with the departure of Dwight Jacobsen, said Pioneer spokeswoman Ashley Bruno. Jacobsen joined Dreyfus Corp. this summer as head of intermediary sales (see The MFWire, August 14, 2008).

Taylor was most recently president of managed assets at Evergreen Investments. He was not replaced, said Evergreen spokeswoman Laura Fay.
