A fire wrecked the home of Affiliated Managers Group's
chief financial officer, Darrell Crate
, Thursday night, The Boston Business Journal
reports. No injuries were reported. It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
The eight-bedroom mansion in Beverly Farms, Massachusetts was bought by Crate and his wife in 2000 for $2.2 million.
Crate, who has been with AMG since 1998, is also a well-known figure in Massachusetts political circles, having served as treasurer of Mitt Romney’s lost presidential campaign. Crate is a former chairman of the Massachusetts Republican Party.
