An AMG Exec Sees a Fiery End to His Home

A fire wrecked the home of Affiliated Managers Group's chief financial officer, Darrell Crate, Thursday night, The Boston Business Journal reports. No injuries were reported. It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.

The eight-bedroom mansion in Beverly Farms, Massachusetts was bought by Crate and his wife in 2000 for $2.2 million.

Crate, who has been with AMG since 1998, is also a well-known figure in Massachusetts political circles, having served as treasurer of Mitt Romney’s lost presidential campaign. Crate is a former chairman of the Massachusetts Republican Party.
