An explosion in bond ETFs has led to triple-digit growth rates for the relatively new products,
Dow Jones Newswires reports. Tom Anderson, head of ETF research at
State Street Global Advisors, told the wire service that the rapid growth should take away some business from mutual funds and individual bond sales. According to ICI data, bond ETFs took in $8.4 billion in inflows in the first 9 months of 2007, up from $3.7 billion in the same period of 2006.
