There are two new faces set to fill the open Democratic spots at the SEC, sources tell the
Washington Post. The two names being floated are
Luis A. Aguilar and
Elisse B. Walter. Aguilar is a partner at the law firm
McKenna Long & Aldridge in Atlanta. Walter has a long history in financial regulation; she was once COO of the NASD, general counsel for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and has served in several posts at the SEC over the years. If confirmed, Aldridge will replace
Roel Campos, while Walter would replace
Annette Nazareth.
