SSgA Adds Three new Muni-SPDRS to its Product Line

SSgA just launched three new SPDRs on the AMEX. (It now offers 353 ETFs on the exchange.) The SPDR Lehman New York Municipal Bond ETF, the SPDR Lehman California Municipal Bond ETF, and the SPDR Lehman Short Term Municipal Bond ETF all began trading today.


The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) today announced that it has launched trading in three new exchange traded funds (ETFs) by State Street Global Advisors (SSgA). These new State Street ETFs bring the total number of ETF listings on the Amex to 353.

"We are pleased to be supporting SSgA as they continue to expand their family of ETFs and provide the investing community with new ways to diversify their portfolios," said Scott Ebner, Senior Vice President of the Amex ETF Marketplace. "These products reflect a growing investor interest in the municipal bond market."

SPDR Lehman New York Municipal Bond ETF aims to track the Lehman Brothers Managed Money Municipal New York Index which follows publicly traded New York municipal bonds that cover the U.S. dollar denominated New York tax exempt bond market, including state and local general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, insured bonds, and pre-refunded bonds.

SPDR Lehman California Municipal Bond ETF aims to track the Lehman Brothers Managed Money Municipal California Index which follows publicly traded California municipal bonds that cover the U.S. dollar denominated California tax exempt bond market, including state and local general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, insured bonds, and pre-refunded bonds.

SPDR Lehman Short Term Municipal Bond ETF aims to track the Lehman Brothers Managed Money Municipal Short Term Index which follows publicly traded municipal bonds that cover the U.S. dollar denominated short- term tax exempt bond market, including state and local general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, insured bonds, and pre-refunded bonds.
