Nuveen Investments has hired
Mark Anson as president and executive director of investment services. According to a press release issued by the Chicago-based asset manager on Thursday, Anson will officially join the company in early September.
Nuveen last month announced it has agreed to be acquired by a group led by Chicago private equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners.
Anson, 47, joins Nuveen from London-based Hermes Pensions Management and British Telecomm Pension Scheme, where he has served as chief executive and chief investment officer. Earlier, he was chief investment officer at the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS).
“We are quite pleased to have such a respected and talented leader join our team,” said
John
Amboian, chief executive officer of Nuveen Investments. “Mark will play an important leadership role in our firm, strengthening our institutional foundation as we embark on the next phase of our growth and development."
