The bear market is claiming more funds at Stamford, Connecticut-based Investec. The firm is reducing the size of its fund family from seven to four, according to filings made with the SEC. The three disappearing funds have just more than $17 million in assets and will be merged with existing funds.
Two of the funds, the Internet.com fund and Wireless World, will be melded into the Wired Index Fund. The third fund, Asia New Economy, will be merged with Asia Small Cap. That fund will then change its name to the Asia Focus fund.
Investec funds were formerly Guinness Flight funds.
