The range of exchange-traded funds continues to broaden.
Rydex has plans to come out with the first euro-based ETF and
BGI has a silver ETF in the works. According to
Reuters, Rydex's euro-based ETF will trade on the NYSE under the symbol "FXE." Each FXE share will correspond to 40 euros held in an interest-bearing account at JPMorgan Chase.
Meanwhile,
Dow Jones Newswires reported that BGI is developing a silver ETF and that it will likely submit an SEC filing sometime in 2005 for launch in 2006.
