WM Advisors has decided to look to subadvisors for management of two formerly in-house advised funds, the $95.3 million WM Small Cap Growth Fund and the WM VT Small Cap Growth Fund.
Delaware Management Company and Oberweis Asset Management will co-manage the funds.
"Our core competencies include asset allocation and value investing. Outsourcing the fund management of the Small Cap Growth Fund and the WM VT Small Cap Growth Fund is consistent with our decision to hire as effective a sub-advisor team as possible so we can capitalize on our strengths," stated Bill Papesh, president of the WM Group of funds.
The Small Cap Growth Fund was formerly co-managed by Stephen Q. Spencer and David W. Simpson of WM Advisors and has negative returns over the past year, three-year or five-year timeframes.
Fund shareholders approved the decision on March 21, 2005.
