Three mutual fund firms are in the running for a big industry award next month, an award that recognizes investment management firms' efforts in philanthropy and community engagement.

Earlier this week, the folks at the Investment Management Education Alliance (IMEA) revealed that their 2025 Community Investment Award finalists are: Thornburg Investment Management, T. Rowe Price, and Janus Henderson Investors. The winner will be revealed next month at IMEA's 2025 STAR Awards Celebration, to be held on September 16 at Franklin Templeton's offices in Boston.

The Janus Henderson team is being recognized for their Brighter Future Project collabotation with the American Cancer Society. The T. Rowe team is being recognized for their High School Leadership Institute collaboration with the Baltimore Ravens. And the Thornburg team is being recognized for their "culture of giving grounded in service, sustainability, and philanthrophy," with efforts around glass upcycling, waste composting, and their Annual Holiday Shelter Party.

IMEA's annual celebration next month will also involvement recognition of the winners of the other 2025 STAR Awards for collaboration, communication, education, and innovation.
