Nine companies with U.S. mutual fund or ETF businesses (up from six
last year) are among the 135 most ethical companies in the world this year, according to a company that specializes in corporate standards.

Yesterday,
Erica Salmon Byrne, CEO of
Ethisphere,
revealed the
2023 edition of the firm's list of the
World's Most Ethical Companies. This is the 17th annual edition of the list.
This year's winners in the mutual fund business include:
Allianz (for its
fourth time on the list);
BMO (for its
sixth time); the
Hartford (for its
14th time);
Pacific Life (for its
sixth time);
Principal Financial Group (for its
12th time);
Prudential Financial (parent of
PGIM, for its
ninth time);
Thrivent (for its
12th time);
TIAA (parent of
Nuveen, for its
ninth time); and
Voya (for its
10th time).
The winners will be honored today with a gala at Ethisphere's CEO Forum.
