Last week, the teams at
PEOPLE and
Great Place to Work unveiled the
2022 PEOPLE Companies That Care list, their
sixth annual edition of the list. The 2022 list recognizes 100 U.S. companies that
display "remarkable care for their people, their local communities, and the world at large," the Great Place to Work team explains.
In the mutual fund business, companies on the 2022 Companies That Care list include:
Edward Jones (home of the
Bridge Builder Mutual Funds) at rank 37,
Nationwide at rank 43, and
Baird at rank 48.
The list "recognizes and honors 100 top companies for their employee benefits, commitment to social justice, green initiatives, COVID-19 relief efforts, outstanding care for customers, and more," PEOPLE's
David Walters explains.
To build the list, the Great Place to Work team analyzed more than one million survey responses and graded company-provided data (regarding initiatives to improve the employee experience and invest in the wider community). Companies have to have at least 10 employees each and be Great Place to Work-certified to be eligible. (Certification
involves conducting an employee experience survey and filling out a company culture and workforce questionnaire.)
