A former managing director and chief financial officer of Allianz Asset Management of America, Newport Beach, California-based Mike Puntoriero, recently retired.

John Maney, managing director and chief operating officer at Allianz Asset Management of America (a holding company for the multinational's asset management firms), did not immediately return a call for comment. A spokesperson from Allianz declined to comment on how Healey's old position is being handled.

A California State University, Northridge alumnus, Puntoriero remained at Allianz for more than 12 years before retiring. Prior to Allianz, Puntoriero served as the CFO at PIMCO for nearly 12 years. Before that, he was a managing partner at Arthur Andersen.
