Jack Shepherd has joined the Transamerica [profile] team.

John Richard Shepherd III Transamerica Mutual Funds Regional Vice President

On November 29, Portland, Oregon-based Shepherd joined Transamerica's mutual fund arm as a regional vice president, replacing a prior regional VP. There Shepherd will cover Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, on a team of about 12 others, and report to Tom Briggs, divisional sales manager at Transamerica.

Shepherd did not immediately return a call for comment.

Prior to transferring to Transamerica, Shepherd served as external wholesaler, manager of sales and client services at Jensen Investment Management [profile]. A spokesperson from Jensen declined to comment.

A University of Arizona alumnus, Shepherd's career began at Thornburg Investment Management, where he worked inside sales for more than a year before transferring to ING, also working inside sales for about ten months. Shepherd then move on to become an associate at Deutsche Bank, where he remained for more than two years before joining the Jensen team, for nearly three years.
