Stephen Weber, director of sales and relationship management for
Driehaus Capital Management [
profile], has hired two new executives for his sales team.
David McElroy and
Lee Diamandakis will join Driehaus, both as vice presidents of institutional sales.
McElroy was most recently at
Virtus Investment Partners, where he had a similar job leading institutional sales in the south. Diamandakis joins from
William Blair, where he held a senior Business development position.
Spokespeople from Virtus and William Blair were not immediately able to comment.
McElroy and Diamandakis will both be responsible for selling Driehaus' institutional separate accounts, commingled funds, and mutual funds, in the South and Central regions respectively.
McElroy's position is newly created, while Diamandakis is taking over the role from
Jason Pomatto, who left Driehaus in 2017.
Diamandakis received his bachelor's degree in Finance from DePaul University, and his MBA from Northwestern.
McElroy is an alumnus of Emory University, and the Georgia State MBA program.
