Wednesday night was a good one for the teams at
Horizon Investments and seven other asset managers.
In a ceremony at the 2018
Envestnet | PMC Advisor Summit in New Orleans, Horizon led the 2018
Asset Manager Awards pack with two wins,
ThinkAdvisor reports. The awards, presented by from
Envestnet and
Investment Advisor magazine, were rebranded this year and were previously known as the Separately Managed Account Manager and Strategist of the Year Awards.
Horizon, an ETF strategist, won in the overall and strategist categories. The other winning shops were: in the U.S. equity large-cap category,
Dana Investment Advisors and
Wakefield Asset Management, both for large cap core; in the equity small- or mid-cap category,
Baird Funds for mid cap growth and
Kayne Anderson Rudnick for small cap sustainable growth; in the international or global universe category,
WCM Investment Management for quality global growth; in the fixed income category,
GW&K Investment Management for enhanced core bond; and in the impact category,
ClearBridge Investments for large cap growth ESG.
At the ceremony, Envestnet | PMC's chief investment strategist,
Tim Clift, confirmed that this is the 14th year for the awards.
Earlier this month, Envestnet and
Investment Advisor revealed the 18 finalists for the awards.
