Kiely and Seurkamp, two members of NAPFA, were presented with awards last week at the NAPFA Spring Conference in Seattle, WA. Kiely received the Robert J. Underwood Distinguished Service Award for his service at NAPFA, and his Fee-Only financial planning advancements. Kiely is currently a NAPFA-registered financial advisor with Kiely Capital Management in Morristown, New Jersey. Seurkamp received the NAPFA New Professional Award for her achievements and contributions to the profession of new practitioner members of NAPFA. Seurkamp is currently a financial advisor at The Asset Advisory Group in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Appointment: Alex Piré

Piré was appointed as head of client portfolio management at Natixis Global Asset Management's affiliate, Seeyond. Previously, Piré was employed at Jennison Associates, where he served as vice president and acting head of product development and management.

Appointments: Theodore R. Jaeckel,Michael Kalinoski, Walter O'Connor, Phillip Soccio, Michael Perilli

In addition to the retirement of a BlackRock PM, Timothy Browse, BlackRock has made PM changes to some of its municipal closed-end funds with the above appointees. Jaeckel, managing director, O'Connor, managing director, Kalinoski, director, and Soccio, director, are members of BlackRock’s Americas Fixed Income group within Alpha Strategies, and head PMs of the Municipal Mutual Fund Desk. Perilli, vice president is PM for the Municipal Mutual Fund Desk within BlackRock's Global Fixed Income group.
