A Neuberger Berman veteran is shifting into a key role in the advisor channel.

MFWire has learned that last month Ria Nova became head of national accounts for the advisor solutions group (ASG) at the New York City-based mutual fund shop. Nova spent the past year as senior research director for the group.

A spokesman for Neuberger declined to comment on Nova's appointment.

Nova's move comes less than half a year after former ASG senior vice president and national accounts chief Brian Moran joined AMG Funds as head of national accounts and retirement.

An alumna of the University of Rochester and Harvard Business School, Nova joined Lehman Brothers Asset Management (now part of Neuberger) in 2003 in the alternatives business. She later led business development for Neuberger's Hong Kong-based Greater China investment team as part of Neuberger's expansion in Asia. She joining ASG a year ago as a senior research director.
