Four More Bang Stadion's Anti-Risk Drum

Reported by Tommy Fernandez

Four more sales folk are banging the drums of Stadion's special anti-risk beat to clients.

They include three regional vice presidents: Dan McGouran, most recently with Advisors Asset Management, covering south Texas and Louisiana; Ryan Schnittker, previously of OBS Financial Services; Stadion’s retail distribution in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Western PA., and Jeray Goins, previously a regional director with Wells Fargo Funds Distributor and an internal wholesaler with MetLife, covering Southern California and Hawaii.

Stadion also hired an internal sales manager and account manager: Bucky Woodruff, previously of Putnam Investments, and before that, UBS Financial Services.

Stadion president Jud Doherty had this to say about the hires:

Stadion is expanding its presence on both the Retail and Retirement sides of its business with industry veterans who can communicate the long term, full market cycle benefits of Stadion’s defensive bias. This doesn’t mean we expect the kind of market downturn that drove growth after the last decline. On the contrary, this is a proactive approach to expanding advisor relationships BEFORE such a downturn occurs.  We are particularly interested in identifying advisors who already acknowledge the crucial role of defensive strategies in their long term client solutions.

As of 3/31/2014 Stadion managed approximately $5.6 billion.
