Both Putnam [profile] and State Street [profile] have joined the City of Boston's battle against pay inequality between the sexes, reports Bloomberg.

The newswire reports that the fund firms were among 39 companies that pledged to report pay-equity data to Boston as of way of gauging the gap between men and women.
