Alternative products are all the rage among individual investors—or so Stephen Schwarzman asserts.

The Blackstone CEO and co-founder says the private equity firm (which is the former parent of asset management titan BlackRock) is prepping a mutual-fund complex to appeal to retail investors keen on alternative assets, Bloomberg reports.
