Principal Financial Group [profile] is getting ready to start a major renovation of its headquarters in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, according to the Des Moines Register.

The financial services company is planning renovations totaling $238.5 million, and is looking at around 10 years for the entire project. The total cost for the entire project will be around $400 million, Des Moines City Manager Rick Clark told the paper.

Among the improvements will be a skywalk bridge connecting two buildings.
