Ariel Taps BeFi Expert to its Board

Reported by Erin Kello

Ariel added an behavioral finance academic to its board. University of Chicago Professor Toby Moskowitz has been elected to the Chicago company's board of directors.

If Moskowitz's name sounds familiar to you, it may be because he co-authored the "Scorecasting," which uses economic principles to explain the hidden side of sports.

His research has also explored the performance of mutual funds. Moskowitz also published research with AQR Capital's Cliff Asness.

Ariel founder and CIO John Rogers explained that he has "admired" Moskowitz's work for many years.

"I have gained tremendous insights from his extensive research on behavioral finance," Rogers added.
