New York-based ETF provider Global X Funds [see profile] has hired a new head of sales and is looking to build out its sales team within the next few weeks, The MFWire has learned.

Justin Young has joined the firm as a relationship manager filling an existing role within the firm but taking on a new title, according to a company spokesperson, who added that Young will start to fill out his team with the addition of another sales person within a few weeks. Young reports to CEO Bruno del Alma.

Young previously served as an associate, exchange traded products & global index at NYSE Euronext. A spokesperson at NYSE Euronext could not immediately be reached for comment on Young's departure.
