MFS Investment Management chalked up record
gross sales of $53 billion for 2010. The Boston-based
firm ended the year with record AUM of $222 billion.
MFS, owned by Canadian insurance giant Sun Life Financial, posted full-year earnings of $202 million, up from
$136 million in 2009. The pre-tax operating profit margin
improved to 30 percent.
In the fourth quarter, MFS earned $56 million, up from
$47 million in the year-ago period.
