InvestmentNews' Jessica Toonkel has an
update on
Huntington Asset Advisors' efforts to turn one of its mutual funds into an active ETF.
"We are looking at a second quarter or thereabouts in terms of making the conversion," Huntington president and chief investment officer
Randy Bateman told the pub.
Last week, Huntington learned that its order for exemptive relief is progressing through the SEC.
"If we have a successful conversion [of a mutual fund into an ETF], it will inspire others to do it and will speed up the asset gathering for active ETFs overall," Morningstar analyst Scott Burns was quoted in the article as saying.
