In Friday's Wall Street Journal Fund Track column, Kristina Peterson features the Lazard U.S. Small-Mid Cap Equity Open Portfolio.

The fund, managed by Dan Breslin, "snagged a piece of the small-stock surge this year," Peterson writes. "Thanks to a shift it made in the fall of 2008, it also can now hold onto growing small companies as they expand into midcap ones."

Breslin and Lori Calvasina, director of equity research in small- and mic-cap strategy at Credit Suisse, are quoted in the article.
